Frequently Asked Questions

Is a deposit required and is it refundable?

Yes, we do require a deposit of $200 which is applied toward the final purchase price of your puppy.

The deposit is partially refundable, with $150 refundable and $50 retained to cover administrative and processing costs. The deposit remains refundable until you commit to a specific litter.

Our goal is to give families the flexibility to join the waiting list and learn more about upcoming litters while ensuring we can accurately plan for future puppy placements. For complete details, please review our Waiting List Policy.

Why do you require puppies to be spayed or neutered.

Our pet puppies are placed as beloved family companions and are sold with AKC Limited Registration and a spay/neuter agreement as outlined in our purchase contract.

Responsible breeding involves far more than simply pairing two dogs. It requires comprehensive health testing, careful pedigree evaluation, thoughtful temperament selection, and a long-term commitment to preserving and improving the breed. Requiring pet puppies to be spayed or neutered helps ensure that future breedings are planned with the same level of care and responsibility.

Research also shows many health benefits to having pets spayed or neutered.

What is AKC Limited Registration?

AKC Limited Registration means your puppy is a purebred, AKC-registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi. The only restriction is that any future offspring cannot be registered with the AKC.

Your puppy can still be a cherished family companion and may participate in many AKC events and activities. Limited Registration simply reflects our commitment to responsible breeding and thoughtful preservation of the breed.

What's included in the price of a Harman Corgi puppy?

Every Harman Corgi puppy is thoughtfully prepared for a successful transition into their new home.

In addition to comprehensive health testing of the parents, early socialization, temperament evaluations, veterinary care, a microchip, 30 days of complimentary Trupanion pet insurance, a one-year genetic health guarantee, and lifetime breeder support, each family also receives a carefully prepared go-home bag filled with familiar items and practical resources to help make those first days together as smooth and successful as possible.

From food and comfort items that smell like home to helpful supplies, educational materials, and transition resources, every detail is chosen with your puppy’s well-being and your family’s confidence in mind.

We even provide a detailed video walking you through everything that’s included and how to use it to help your puppy settle comfortably into their new home.

How does the waiting list work?

Families on our waiting list receive the first opportunity to reserve puppies from upcoming litters.

Once you’ve completed our Getting to Know You process and joined the waiting list, you’ll receive updates on planned litters, pregnancy announcements, and puppy availability. We also provide regular updates, photos, videos, and educational resources so you can follow your puppy’s journey and prepare for life together.

Why do you temperament test your puppies?

Every family and every puppy is unique.

Temperament evaluations help us understand each puppy’s developing personality, confidence level, and natural tendencies so we can thoughtfully match them with the family and lifestyle where they’re most likely to thrive.

We believe choosing the right temperament is often far more important than choosing a particular color or sex.

Learn more about  Temperament Testing.

Why don't you charge more for certain colors?

Our focus has always been on health, temperament, and finding the right match for each family—not on marketing rare or fashionable colors.

For that reason, our pet puppy pricing is the same regardless of standard coat color.

Why are male and female puppies the same price?

Both males and females receive the same thoughtful breeding, early development, veterinary care, socialization, and lifelong support.

Rather than focusing on sex, we encourage families to consider temperament, energy level, and personality when choosing the companion that’s the best fit for their home and lifestyle.

Understanding AKC Limited Registration

Most Harman Corgi puppies are placed as beloved family companions with AKC Limited Registration.

This means your puppy is a purebred, AKC-registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi. The only restriction is that any future offspring cannot be registered with the AKC and they can not show in conformation classes.  Your puppy can participate in all other AKC events.

As outlined in our purchase agreement, pet puppies are required to be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age recommended by your veterinarian. This policy reflects our commitment to responsible breeding and to thoughtfully preserving the health, temperament, and future of the breed we love.

If you’re interested in breeding or showing, we’re happy to discuss whether a full registration placement may be appropriate.

Full Registration

Full AKC registration is considered on a very limited basis for approved breeding or show homes that share our commitment to health, temperament, and responsible breeding practices.

Please contact us if you’d like to learn more.

Adult & Retired Companions

From time to time, we place well-loved older puppies and retired adults into carefully selected homes.

Every adult placement is carefully considered to ensure the right fit for both the dog and their future family. Whether you’re looking for a trained young adult or a retired companion, our goal remains the same: helping each dog find the home where they can thrive.

Placement fees vary depending on the individual dog, age, level of training, and circumstances. Every placement is thoughtfully considered to ensure the best possible match for both the dog and their future family.
