The First Step
The first step toward joining our waiting list is to complete our Getting to Know You Form.
After I review your form, I’ll contact you to schedule a short phone call. This gives us an opportunity to answer your questions, learn more about what you’re looking for, and discuss upcoming litters.
You’re also welcome to call me if you have questions about Harman Corgis or our policies.
Staying in Touch During the Waiting Process
Email is my primary way of communicating with families on our waiting list, so please provide an email address you check regularly.
While you wait, you’ll receive our monthly Harman Corgis newsletter with updates on our dogs, upcoming litters, educational resources, and news from our program.
When a Litter Is Born
Once puppies are healthy and thriving, I begin contacting waiting-list families whose preferences may be a good fit for the litter. This usually happens when puppies are 1–2 weeks old.
When you’re contacted, please consider your schedule, finances, travel plans, and whether the timing is right for your family before committing to the litter. I ask that you respond promptly to let us know whether you’d like to move forward.
Committing to a Litter
When you’re ready to move forward with a specific litter, you’ll be added to that litter’s list.
You will have,
- Access to the litter’s private webpage with updated photos and videos
- Puppy Preparation Series with information to help you prepare for bringing your puppy home
- Educational resources and guidance throughout the process
Your payments will be applied toward the purchase price of your puppy according to the following schedule:
$200 — Waiting List Deposit
Due when you join the Harman Corgis waiting list.
$600 — Litter Commitment Payment
Due when you commit to a specific litter.
$600 — Five-Week Payment
Due when the puppies are five weeks old.
Remaining Balance + Sales Tax — Final Payment
Due before your puppy leaves Harman Corgis.

California Applicants
California applicants have a separate reservation and payment process to comply with California requirements. I’ll explain the differences, including how your reservation deposit is handled, before you make a payment.
California families are also required to travel to Texas to pick up their puppy in person. You can find more information about pickup and transportation on the Bringing Your Harman Corgi Home page.
Puppy Selection
Each puppy receives a comprehensive veterinary examination at approximately six weeks of age, followed by our formal temperament evaluation at approximately seven weeks.
Once these evaluations are complete, I’ll schedule a private Zoom meeting with your family. Puppy selection occurs in the order families joined our waiting list.
During your meeting, we’ll discuss each puppy’s temperament evaluation along with our observations from watching the puppies develop over the previous weeks. We’ll help you understand the differences between the puppies and provide guidance as you select the puppy that best fits your family and lifestyle.
Staying Connected
Once you commit to a litter, please remain responsive to emails and other communications throughout the process. If we’re unable to reach you after multiple attempts, we reserve the right to remove you from the waiting list so we can provide the opportunity to another family.

Things to Know About the Waiting list

Waiting List Deposit: A $200 deposit is required to join our waiting list. The deposit signifies your intent to move forward with purchasing a Harman Corgis puppy.
Waiting List, Litter Availability & Puppy Selection: Joining the Harman Corgis waiting list establishes your place in the puppy-selection order. Families select puppies on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date they joined the waiting list.
Breeding and raising puppies involve factors that cannot be predicted or controlled. Harman Corgis cannot guarantee when a litter will be available, that a planned breeding will occur, that a female will become pregnant, the timing or size of a litter, or the number of puppies that will survive and be available for placement. Because of these factors, wait times may be longer than originally anticipated.
Harman Corgis cannot guarantee a particular sex, color, markings, temperament, or other specific characteristics in a litter. If a puppy meeting your needs or preferences is not available, you may need to wait for a future litter and all payments will be applied towards the future puppy.
Your waiting list deposit remains active for up to three years from the date it is received. Your position on the waiting list may not be transferred to another person, including friends or family members. We understand that plans and preferences can change while you are waiting. Please let us know if you need to update your preferred timeframe, sex, color, or other puppy preferences.
Committing to a Litter: Once a litter is born with puppies fitting your preferences, you will be contacted. If you are interested in a puppy from the litter, you will be asked to commit to the litter. Committing to a litter reserves your position on that litter’s puppy-selection list. It does not reserve or guarantee a specific puppy or that a puppy matching your preferences will be available.
Puppy selection occurs after veterinary examinations and temperament evaluations. Families select in waiting-list order and receive our observations and guidance to help them choose a puppy that may be a good fit for their family and lifestyle.
While Harman Corgis provides observations and guidance based on each puppy’s development and temperament evaluation, the breeder cannot and does not guarantee a puppy’s future size, appearance, temperament, personality, behavior, or other characteristics as an adult.
Communication: To be fair to everyone on our waiting list, we ask that you respond promptly to emails or text messages regarding possible puppies. We reserve the right to remove someone from the waiting list if they repeatedly fail to respond.
Pricing & Payments: Current pricing is located on our website. If we raise our prices, you will be grandfathered into the puppy price that was in effect when we received your waiting list deposit. If we repeatedly offer opportunities for puppies that meet your stated preferences and you choose to pass, we reserve the right to move you to our current puppy pricing.
Payment Schedule: Payments are due in the following time frames for all buyers, excluding those in California (see below).
Waiting List Deposit: Your $200 deposit places you on the Harman Corgis waiting list and is applied toward the purchase price of your puppy. If you leave the waiting list, $150 is refundable and $50 is retained as an administrative and processing fee.
Committing a Litter: A$600 payment is due when you accept an opportunity to move forward with a specific litter shortly after puppies are born. This payment is applied toward the purchase price of your puppy.
When Puppies Are 5 Weeks Old: A $600 payment is due when puppies are 5 weeks old and will be applied toward the purchase price of your puppy.
Before Puppy Leaves: The remaining purchase price and applicable sales tax must be paid in full before your puppy leaves Harman Corgis.
All payments other than the Waiting List Deposit (see above) are refundable.
Flexible Payment Plans: If you would prefer a different payment schedule, please contact us. We are happy to arrange a payment plan that better fits your needs. Regardless of the payment schedule arranged, the puppy purchase price and applicable sales tax must be paid in full before your puppy leaves Harman Corgis.
Payment Methods: All payments are made in U.S. dollars. Payments may be made through Good Dog, Zelle, or Square. Applicable processing fees may apply depending on the payment method selected.
Buyers picking up their puppy in person may pay the final balance in cash at pickup. Regardless of the payment method used, all amounts due, including applicable sales tax, must be paid in full before the puppy leaves Harman Corgis.
Special provisions for California buyers:
My vet will submit the health certificate to the California Department of Food and Agriculture electronically within 10 days prior to the puppy entering the state of California. You will also receive the CVI at this time.
All purchasers located in California must take possession of their puppy in person in Texas. Pickup will take place by meeting Harman Corgis at the Amarillo airport or at another mutually agreed-upon location near Harman Corgis. Puppies will not be shipped or transported to California.
Payments will be accepted after the puppy has passed their vet check and my veterinarian writes a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI).
