Where We're Located
Harman Corgis is located on our family farm in the Texas Panhandle, approximately 25 miles from the nearest town and about two hours from Amarillo International Airport (AMA).
While we live in a rural area, families from across Texas and throughout the United States regularly bring home Harman Corgis. Whether you plan to pick up your puppy in person or need assistance arranging transportation, we’ll help you choose the option that best fits your family’s needs and budget.
Our No Paws on the Ground Policy
The health and safety of your puppy are our top priorities from the moment they are born until they arrive safely in your arms.
Because young puppies have not yet completed their vaccination series, they are especially vulnerable to illnesses such as Parvovirus. To help reduce unnecessary exposure during travel, we follow a strict No Paws on the Ground Policy.
Whether your puppy is traveling by car with a transporter or by air with a flight nanny, we insist that they remain in a secure carrier or crate while with a trusted handler rather than walking through public areas where unknown dogs may have been. And if you are picking your puppy up in person, we will share our tips and tricks on how to get your puppy home safely with No Paws on the Ground.
While this policy may require a little extra planning, we believe the added protection and peace of mind are well worth it.
TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
Pick Up Your Puppy in Person
Many families choose to drive to us and meet at a nearby location.
This option allows you to meet your puppy in person and begin bonding right away. We are happy to answer questions and help ensure you feel prepared before heading home.
Ground Transportation
For some families, professional ground transportation is the most convenient way to bring their puppy home.
When appropriate, we can help connect you with experienced USDA-certified transporters who specialize in safely transporting puppies.
Availability and pricing vary based on destination and route schedules.
Flying Home with Your Puppy from Amarillo (AMA)
Harman Corgis is located in the rural Texas Panhandle, approximately 100 miles from Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (AMA). If you choose to fly, we can arrange to meet you at the airport in Amarillo.
Many buyers choose to fly to Amarillo and return home with their puppy riding safely in the cabin under the seat in front of them. We are happy to help guide you through the process, work with your puppy to ensure that they are comfortable being in a travel carrier, and answer questions about airline-approved carriers and travel preparations.
Flight Nanny Service
For families who are unable to travel, we can help you coordinate with a professional flight nanny.
A flight nanny accompanies your puppy in the cabin for the entire trip and personally delivers them to you at an airport near you. You will pay the flight nanny directly for their airline tickets, pet fees, and a daily rate fee.
We work only with experienced, professional transporters and are happy to help families explore the transportation option that best fits their needs and budget.
Our Safety Standards
Your puppy’s safety is our highest priority.
We work with experienced professionals who understand the unique needs of young puppies.
We also maintain a strict “No Paws on the Ground” policy during transportation. This means your puppy is not placed in public pet relief areas, truck stop dog runs, airport pet areas, or other locations where exposure to illness may occur.
This extra precaution helps protect your puppy during the critical period before their vaccination series is complete.

Every family’s situation is different. If you have questions about travel, transportation costs, airline requirements, or available delivery options, we’re happy to discuss the best solution for your specific location.
Our goal is to make bringing home your new family member as easy and stress-free as possible.
HAVE QUESTIONS?
We have answers
Can I get a puppy if I don't live in Texas?
Absolutely. Many Harman Corgi puppies live throughout the United States. Families can pick up their puppy in person, meet us at the Amarillo airport, use a flight nanny service, or arrange USDA-certified ground transportation.
What is your "No Paws on the Ground" policy?
Until your puppy is safely in your care, we do not allow puppies to walk in public areas where they could be exposed to illness. Whether traveling by car or airplane, we take extra precautions to protect your puppy during their journey home.
Can I fly home with my puppy in the cabin?
Yes. Many families choose to meet us at Amarillo International Airport (AMA) and fly home with their puppy in the cabin. We are happy to help guide you through the process and answer questions about airline-approved carriers, pet fees, and travel day preparations. We do not ship puppies in cargo.
What airlines allow puppies to fly in the cabin?
Airline policies change frequently, so we recommend checking directly with your airline before booking. Most major airlines allow small puppies to travel in an approved carrier beneath the seat for a fee, provided the puppy meets age and size requirements.
What is a flight nanny?
A flight nanny is a professional pet transporter who accompanies your puppy in the cabin of an airplane and personally delivers them to you at your nearest airport. Your puppy is never shipped as cargo and receives individualized care throughout the trip.
How much does transportation cost?
Transportation costs vary depending on your location and the method you choose. Ground transportation, flight nanny services, and airline travel each have different costs. We are happy to discuss options and help you find the safest and most cost-effective solution for your family.
How do you prepare puppies for travel?
Before leaving for their new homes, our puppies are introduced to crates and carriers, experience car rides, and are exposed to new sights and sounds. We also provide the necessary health records and paperwork needed for travel.
What should I bring when picking up my puppy?
We recommend bringing:
- A secure crate or carrier
- Water – we provide a travel bowl
- Pee pads
- A harness
- We will provide information to help make your puppy’s transition home as smooth as possible.
- 🎥 See What’s Included in our Puppy Transition Kit to help make the trip home a success
Is it stressful for puppies to travel?
Most puppies adjust very well to travel when they are properly prepared. We take steps before go-home day to help puppies become comfortable with carriers, handling, and new experiences. While any new experience can be exciting, most puppies settle quickly once they arrive with their new families.
Which transportation option do you recommend?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Many families enjoy the experience of picking up their puppy in person, while others prefer flying or using a ground transporter. We are happy to discuss your location, schedule, and budget to help determine the best option for your situation.
