GUIDANCE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

Puppy Resources & Lifetime Support

Bringing home a puppy is exciting, but I know it can also feel overwhelming.

That’s why I start preparing families long before go-home day. You’ll receive helpful emails, educational resources, videos, and plenty of information to help you know what to expect and how to prepare.

My support doesn’t stop when your puppy goes home. You’ll continue to have access to helpful resources, our private Harman Corgi Owners group, and me whenever you have questions along the way.

Before Your Puppy Comes Home

Preparing for your new puppy begins well before go-home day. As you count down the weeks, I’ll send you information to help you feel prepared and know what to expect.

You’ll receive my Puppy Preparation Series, a collection of emails that walks you through getting ready for your puppy. I cover everything from supplies and puppy-proofing your home to feeding, veterinary care, transportation, and those important first few days at home. Much of what I include comes from questions families have asked me over the years and things I’ve learned they wish they had known ahead of time.

My goal is to answer as many of those questions as I can before your puppy comes home, so you can spend less time worrying about whether you’re ready and more time enjoying your new puppy.

You’ll go home with a Puppy Go-Home Bag filled with familiar items and supplies to help make those first few days a little easier.

By the time you leave with your puppy, I want you to feel prepared and know where to find help when questions come up.

Your First Days Together

The first few days with your new puppy are exciting, but they are also an important time of transition. Your puppy has just left everything familiar—their mother, littermates, home, and daily routine—and entered an entirely new world.

I encourage families to think of the first three days as a decompression period. This is a time to keep life simple, allow your puppy to settle in, begin establishing predictable routines, and give them time to feel safe and comfortable in their new home. It is also when the first stages of your bond begin to form.

That’s why every Harman Corgis family receives access to My Puppy Is Home… Now What?—my online guide created specifically for those important first days together. You’ll find videos and practical guidance for your puppy’s first night, the decompression period, bonding, establishing a routine, potty and crate training, and understanding what is normal as your puppy adjusts.

Your guide is easy to access using the information included in your puppy’s go-home folder, so when a question comes up, trusted guidance is right at your fingertips.

Because bringing your puppy home isn’t just the end of their journey with us—it’s the beginning of their relationship with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I contact you if I have questions?

Absolutely. I encourage families to reach out whenever questions arise. Whether you have a question during your puppy’s first few days at home or years down the road, I’m always happy to help when I can and point you toward trusted resources when needed.

Do first-time puppy owners receive extra guidance?

My support is designed to help every family feel prepared and confident, including first-time puppy owners. I provide step-by-step guidance before and after go-home, covering many of the questions that come with raising a new puppy. And if you’re unsure about something along the way, you’re always welcome to reach out and ask.

What if I have a training problem?

I’m happy to help you troubleshoot common puppy training challenges and point you toward useful resources. The Buyer Resource Center and educational materials cover topics such as potty training, crate training, manners, socialization, and establishing good routines. I’ve also found Baxter & Bella extremely helpful. For more complex training or behavioral concerns, I can help you determine when it may be time to work with a qualified professional.

What happens if I can no longer keep my dog?

I understand that sometimes circumstances change unexpectedly. If you are ever unable to continue caring for your Harman Corgi, please contact me. I will work with you to help find a safe and appropriate new home for your dog. No matter how much time has passed, I would much rather have you reach out to me than have a Harman Corgi surrendered to a shelter or rescue.
